QUILLS Name Best Picture For 2000...

Kicking off this year's awards season is the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures which gave the Marquis de Sade drama QUILLS its top honor naming it best picture on Wednesday. The film stars Geoffrey Rush and Kate Winslet.
Ted Tally won best screenplay for ALL THE PRETTY HORSES.
Director Steven Soderbergh received the best director award for ERIN BROCKOVICH and TRAFFIC. Ang Lee's CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON walked away with best foreign film.
The National Board of Review is made up of teachers, writers, actors and movie production workers.
