Script Update: PHONE BOOTH
November 29th, 2000
This is what we know has happened: First a couple of Hughes' were attached to direct, then Michael Bay was, now it's Schumacher. Will Smith was attached to star, then Jim Carrey was, now Colin Farrell.
The story deals with, you got it, a phone booth. A media consultant answers a random phone call and is trapped in a Manhattan phone booth by a serial killer wielding a sniper rifle. Larry Cohen (original writer) has since seen both Stephen Gaghan (RULES OF ENGAGEMENT) and Brian Helgeland (L.A. CONFIDENTIAL) do re-writing. Joel Schumacher will be directing.
