Script Report: BLOODS
October 20th, 2000
Scribe Wallace Terry has closed a deal with Castle Rock Entertainment to adapt for the screen his internationally bestselling book "Bloods," an oral history of the Vietnam War as told by African-Americans. The project appears on the fast track as director Antoine Fuqua (THE REPLACEMENT KILLERS, BAIT) is reportedly attached to direct and produce. BLOODS deals with the circumstances that faced African-Americans during the war. But it's not a story about race as much as it is about culture and courage under fire. Terry is a Harvard grad who served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969.
