Will the Real Creator of Sherlock Holmes Please Stand Up!
October 11th, 2000
"This could be the most important Sherlock Holmes story never told," Bruce Nash of Nash Entertainment told Variety. "It appears the world's greatest mystery writer may have gotten away with murder."
Nash Entertainment made some waves in the feature film world with its acquisition of a manuscript that claims Sir Arthur Conan Doyle may have murdered the real creator of Sherlock Holmes. According to this report, English scribe Rodger Garrick Steele claims that Doyle's pal Bertram Fletcher Robinson actually created Holmes.
Furthermore, the author claims that Doyle was having an affair with Robinson's wife. They then decided to steal the story and murder Robinson. Well, if anything, it certainly sounds like a Hollywood movie doesn't it?
