Script Report: Scorsese And Spielberg Team Up On INTO THE SETTING SUN

According to Variety, Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg are teaming up on a film to be called INTO THE SETTING SUN. It is their first time working together. Scorsese will direct with Spielberg producing under both the DreamWorks and Warner Bros. banners. Scorsese is currently working on GANGS OF NEW YORK, which is shooting in Rome. While Spielberg is busy doing the A.I. thing. No idea on time frame for the project.
INTO THE SETTING SUN will be written by Bill Wittliff (THE PERFECT STORM), and will tell the story of the transcontinental railroad, and how it came to be. From its conception to construction.
