Script Rumor: INDIANA JONES 4
September 13th, 2000
While talking to Popcorn Harrison Ford was asked about the INDIANA JONES 4 project and rumors. He was quoted as saying, "I'd be very happy to play Indiana Jones if we can get a script we can all agree on and make a film that is at least as good as the ones we've made before Steven [Spielberg] is enthusiastic, I'm enthusiastic, even [George] Lucas is enthusiastic. And you may know that M. Night Shyamalan is anxious to write the script."
This is obviously a positive sign that Shyamalan will at least write a draft. Ford continued saying, "I think it would be interesting to follow him [Indy] through a period of time" (referring to his desire that the script reflect his age.) Nothing is known yet about a possible story line, and as for time frame Ford said he would like to do it within the "next couple years." Let's hope so.
