It's rumored that Warner Bros. is close to acquiring a nonfiction manuscript by Business Week senior writer Gary Weiss titled, BORN TO STEAL. It appears that Mark Wahlberg will star and possibly produce.
BORN TO STEAL is the true story of mob infiltration into Wall Street resulting in the 1997 indictment of 19 people on charges of securities fraud. Weiss was apparently investigating this scandal for the publication.
Nothing is official yet, this is considered rumor, but it's looking good according to our source. Wahlberg will star in the 2001 Warner Bros. Film METAL GOD after he is done making PLANET OF THE APES for 20th Century Fox.
