Revolution gives Greenlight After Only 24 Hours with Script

Variety is reporting that director/writer John Hughes has agreed to direct and produce the script he submitted to the Sony based partnership of Joe Roth, Rob Moore and Todd Garner, now called Revolution pictures. The project was given the go ahead after Revolution spent only 24 hours with the script described as "a modern day Cinderella story that's set in Chicago." The deal is said to be bringing Hughes an eight figure payday. Hughes is also rumored to be considering a re-make of "The Breakfast Club" reportedly budgeted at $25 mil.
