UCLA Screenwriters and Producers Conference

August 25-27, 2000
The Conference will be held on the UCLA campus. Designed for screenwriters at all levels, and for those interested in becoming producers, the conference will give you the information and practical tools you need to put your career in high gear, and break into the business.
The weekend provides an opportunity to experience what makes UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television the premier place to study screenwriting and producing.
Those attending are offered:
A one-of-a-kind writer/producer symposium where top Hollywood
screenwriters and the producers of their films explain how they worked together to make the movie.
Intensive workshop sessions for screenwriters and producers with top UCLA faculty and distinguished industry professionals.
A Prepare To Pitch seminar, where you can learn what makes an
effective pitch, practice your pitch by pitching to Hollywood
production company executives, and get feedback on your technique.
A panel of agents and managers who will answer your questions, and will accept your query letters.
A special screening and Q and A with the filmmakers.
Optional one-on-one sessions with faculty or production company
executives. (Please note: limited to first-come, first-served
advance sign-up. Additional fee required)
Dinner - Friday and Saturday; Lunch - Saturday and Sunday;
Continental Breakfast -Saturday and Sunday

Registration Policies:
The registration fee for the 3-day Conference is $725.00. Early Bird (on or before June 25, 2000) registration fee is $645.00. Members of WGA, DGA, SAG and WIF are eligible for a $75.00 discount (please enclose photocopy of membership card). UCLA students and alumni are eligible for a $100 discount. Full payment must accompany your registration form.
The Conference fee includes the writer/producer symposium, a special screening and Q&A with filmmakers, an Agents and Managers panel, a Prepare to Pitch seminar, 3 intensive two-hour workshops, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, dinner on Friday and Saturday.
Full Conference passes only. No single event passes, or one-day
passes available.
The fee for the optional one-on-one sessions are $50 per session. The sessions are limited to first-come, first-served advance sign-up. Those who register for the Conference will receive a list of faculty and production company executives available for the sessions.
Cancellation Policies:
Cancellations before June 30 will be eligible for full refund.
Cancellations between June 30 and July 25 will be eligible for full refund less a $75 administrative fee. Cancellations after July 25 will not be eligible for refunds. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
UCLA Professional Programs reserves the right to make changes to theschedule as necessary without notification. Conference instructorssubject to availability.
