BLADE screenwriter David S. Goyer to pen script for GHOST RIDER

BLADE screenwriter David S. Goyer has been hired to pen GHOST RIDER for Crystal Sky Entertainment/Marvel Studios. Steven Paul will produce. The budget is estimated to exceed $70 million for the movie, which should go into production next year. Avia Arad and Jon Voight will produce as well. Goyer is also working on PHOENIX WITHOUT ASHES, based on the novel by Harlan Ellison, for Columbia Pictures.
Story line: Based on the Marvel Comic Book character about a motorcycle stuntman who turns into a fiery demon who fights crime.
Deal: rumored to be in the mid-six-figure range.
Writer credits: BLADE (1998) THE CROW: CITY OF ANGELS (1996) He has several other credits as well as co-producer for MISSION TO MARS(2000).
