Screenwriters in the News 4.3.2014

FEATURED: The original CHRONICAL was written by Max Landis and made $126 million on a $12 million investment. So no doubt a sequel has been in the works. According to reports, Jack Stanley has been tapped to pen the script. Though no produced credits, Stanley wrote the Black List script SWEETHEART about a female assassin whose attempt to get out is thwarted by her high school reunion. (Source)


Amy Adams (AMERICAN HUSTLE) is reportedly in talks to star in STORY OF YOUR LIFE (short story by Ted Chiang) for director Denis Villeneuve (PRISONERS). The sci-fi thriller reportedly “takes place after alien crafts land around the world.” Eric Heisserer adapted the story. (Source)
