Screenwriter Options Script Online...

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 30, 2001) - Karen Kinsman, a 50 year-old mother living in Perry, Maine, has signed an option agreement for her first screenplay, "Tomorrow's Wish," with Canada's Millbrook Productions, for an undisclosed amount, creative control, and a piece of the backend. What makes this deal even more noteworthy is that the script was discovered by Millbrook Productions through the innovative Storybay service. (www.storybay.com) Television, stage, and movie actor James Gammon has signed on to appear in the film. Gammon, currently portraying Nick Bridges on the television show "Nash Bridges," has appeared in a wide range of projects including movies such as "The Cell," "The Iron Giant," "The Man in the Iron Mask," "Wyatt Earp," and "Major League." Storybay is a fee-based service that provides professional coverage of manuscripts submitted by unsigned authors and seeks interest for the work with its network of agency and production company partners in the Hollywood community, including Atlas Entertainment, Endeavor Talent, MTV Films, The Irv Schechter Company and more. Storybay is perhaps the only way for aspiring screenwriters to get their scripts read by agents and production companies that do not accept unsolicited material. It is the only coverage service that works directly with these companies.
