Script Report: JUMANJI 2

Columbia Pictures has signed Don Rhymer (BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE) to write the sequel to the $100 million grossing JUMANJI, he will be paid close to seven-figures for his trouble.
This script has been hacked on already by several other scribes including: Chris Van Allsburg (JUMANJI), Adam Rifkin (NIGHT AT THE GOLDEN EAGLE,DENIAL), Jonathan Hensligh, Steve Odekerk and David Ward.
It has been reported that Rhymer will come close to a page one rewrite. According to a Variety insider, the script will start with the game being "fished out of the ocean by the vice president, with chaos ensuing."
