According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC ordered four more pilots including an untitled project reportedly “vein of Dangerous Liaisons” from Richard LaGravenese; which is exciting. Also, THE ASTRONAUT WIVES CLUB, by Stephanie Savage. Wrapping up the four are AGATHA written by Tom Donaghy and WARRIORS, written by Chris Keyser.

WEEKEND AT BERNIES filmmakers Sue for Residuals

I didn’t even know WEEKEND AT BERNIES made enough money for this to be a problem!?

Producer Robert Klane (screenwriter as well) and director Ted Kotcheff filed  lawsuit Friday against MGM and Twentieth Century Fox for not getting paid their contractual residuals from the 1989 comedy flick. The duo estimates the film grossed about $30 million, however, they have never seen an accounting record of its revenues.

Moral of the story here, ask for backend residuals all you want writers, you’re never gonna get it!!
